Bipasha Basu named her nickname as Bips. Bipasha was born on January 7, 1979 in New Delhi, later her family moved to Kolkata. It is the second of three sisters. Two others are Bidisha and Vijayeta. Bipasha study science. Her aversion to dissecting animals prompted her to move away from medicine to commerce.
